Roll and Release Workshops (3-part series) with Hannah Perkins
Saturday 23rd April + 7th May + 21st May | 11.00am - 1.00pm
This 3-part series of 2 hour workshops will introduce you to the energetic network of connective tissue (fascia) - a living, breathing, fluid, sensing organ - made up of collagen super-highways which shape the way we experience and react to our lives.
Fascia is literally everywhere within your body. It connects every part of us, grouping together muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, organs and cells. In fact it can be considered to be one organ which stretches and contracts, is incredibly strong and requires hydration (through movement and long held stretches) to effectively feed information to our brain via the central nervous system.
23rd April 2022: Hip, Hip Hooray - Release tension in the hips, glutes and hamstrings
7th May 2022: Fluid Spine - Unravel the shoulders, chest and vertebral column
21st May 2022: How's the Extremities - Alleviate pain in your feet, hands, neck and head
Creating a change in our fascia not only affects our body’s sensory perception, posture and movement patterns but also our cellular function, mental state and the way we process trauma.
Through self-massage (MFR) and movement/stretching (Yin Yoga) we can remove obstacles in the fascia and experience increased mobility, smoother digestion, freedom from pain and body memory, clarity of mind and a deep state of ease and relaxation.
All bookings are final and no refunds will be issued.
If notice is given 7 days out of the workshop, Twine will be happy to credit your passes for a future workshop date, apply the same credit amount to your mind body account, or transfer to another client on your behalf.

Restorative Yoga Workshops with Hannah Perkins
Last Sunday of every month - 26th June, 24th July, 28th August | 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Restorative Yoga is a practice which harmonises the vital life force in our body, prana, through the art of deep and conscious rest. Combining specifically targeted postures, breathing exercises and meditation we can effortlessly restore our body's energy to its natural state, free-flowing and unlimited.
Sunday 26th June - Calm the Nervous System (Anxiety Balancing):
When we become fearful the mind compensates by becoming overstimulated and finds it hard to 'switch off'.
In this workshop you will learn how to down-regulate the nervous system through breathing exercises which decrease the pace of your inner environment.
Sunday 31st July - Increase Vitality (Depression Lifting):
When depressed, memories, feelings and thoughts about the past can lead to burn-out, fatigue and a lack of motivation. In this workshop you will learn how to up-regulate the nervous system through breathing exercises which increase vitality and help you to feel more available to life.
Sunday 28th August - Rest in Awareness (Stress Reducing):
Stressful life events can lead to accumulated physical tension and unregulated emotions, causing us to vacate the body and disconnect from the truth that resides within. In this workshop you will learn to access deeper layers of your being, eventually coming closer to your inner-most self.
These sessions can be taken as a series or individually and are led by Hannah Perkins, Yoga Therapist, who has been passionately teaching Trauma Aware Restorative Yoga since 2016. Restorative poses are held for approximately 5-10 minutes, supported by props to provide an ideal environment for total relaxation. By slowing down and becoming aware of our body, we can begin to respond to the present moment with greater awareness and clarity. Everything is optional and you will be encouraged to make choices which help you move towards comfort and ease, to promote nervous system rebalancing.
Please byo 1x yoga mat, 1 x bolster, 1 x weighted blanket, 1 x light blanket/shawl (to cover), 1 x eye pillow or eye mask.
We also encourage that you wear, loose comfortable clothing and leave all jewellery/watches at home. Ensure that you are also warm for the duration of the workshop.
All bookings are final and no refunds will be issued.
