We encourage the Teachers to be themselves, to find their own voice and structure classes in a way that reflects their personality and life experiences. Our teachers are happy, open and will take good care of you each time you visit Twine, where no two classes are ever the same!
Bronwyn Haines - Yoga Teacher + Twine Assistant
Yoga has been a big part of my life for many years now. I came upon the practice in my early 20's (about 20 years ago now!) and I'm forever grateful I did. I distinctly remember one class experience that has stayed with me and continues to inspire me. It was the first practice I was able to attend 6 months postpartum with the first of my two gorgeous daughters. I remember consciously coming back to this class as a way to carve a path back to myself, a way to nourish and rejuvenate my soul and tired weary body. I was so happy to come back to my mat! Needless to say I left that class feeling like a new person, I came home feeling completely refreshed and renewed from within. This experience, among so many countless others over the years, highlights to me the power of Yoga to reconnect, to bring about union and balance to the entire being...mind, body and soul. No matter what your experience or where you're at in your life, Yoga is there for you. Lets face it, we never really regret practicing Yoga do we?! It never fails to bring a smile, a sigh of happiness and an open heart. I am absolutely passionate about holding a safe space for people to heal and reconnect, to bring about balance and a state of being. For the past 10 years or so I have been an Intuitive Massage Therapist and recently Reiki Practitioner. It felt like such a natural progression for me to complete my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training to facilitate this space on the Yoga mat for community. I am dedicated to creating classes that are balanced and nurturing. Whether it be a nourishing Yin practice, a heating Flow, or a little of both in a Yang Yin class, I truly hope you find your centre in my classes.

I have a deep desire to guide people to their own intuitive power through the practice and integration of Yoga. Everyone has this innate wisdom within them and when we begin to get glimpses we truly start to evolve and transform. Through my classes I lean on the wisdom of Ayurveda, Tantra and the system we all know and love, Yoga. I’m here to share how the true practice of Yoga introduces you to you... the power of knowing yourself and the world around you. The more you tune into the subtleties of who you are, the more you will start to recognise the powerful impacts of these teachings and how they help you to live from the creative and intuitive part of yourself. It is my life mission to help people integrate these ancient teachings into their modern world.
Hannah Perkins - Yoga Teacher
A long-term student of Buddhist and Yogic inner methods, Hannah has been teaching since 2013 and is a Senior Level 3 Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia. She attended her first yoga class at age 10 and practiced meditation in her 20's as an antidote to working for various environmental campaigns. But it wasn't until, when faced with a cancer diagnosis, at age 29 the practice became a non-negotiable part of daily life. She brings warmth, practicality and her own life experiences to her teaching and 1-1 consultation as a trauma-informed Yoga Therapist, helping those facing the uncertainty of anxiety/depression, chronic illness and chronic pain. Having personally experienced these conditions she is 'fascia-nated' with the way the body holds onto past experiences and how consciousness communicates with us through the language of sensation. Combining yoga, somatic psychotherapy, myofascial release and meditation, her classes and sessions take you on a journey through the bodyscape to uncover your own conscious awareness. She completed 500hr Hatha Yoga and 650hr Yoga Therapy training locally through Yogic Wisdom and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training through Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia. She has also trained extensively internationally in Somatic Trauma Therapies including Polyvagal Theory, Myofascial Release, Yin Yoga and Trauma Sensitive Yoga. In 2015, Hannah was selected to be part of the world’s largest Mindfulness summit, a free online event with 31 of the world’s leading teachers, researchers and experts from around the globe.
Brooke Barrett - Yoga Teacher
This practice has always shown me what is possible. How to show up with more love and enthusiasm as a mother, a wife, a student and a teacher. I am beyond humbled to offer the magic and true essence of this practice. Brooke is a devoted yoga student, storyteller and seeker of all philosophies that inspire more depth to love and life. Brooke has completed trainings in Hatha, Ashtanga vinyasa and Traditional Mysore. Her most recent studies involved an in depth study of The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the history of Tantra and the many forms of Devi, the Goddess with renowned teachers at Creature Yoga. Brooke's teaching style reflects all that she has learnt over the many years of practicing and teaching yoga. Her classes are weaved with the rich wisdom of yogic philosophy and she invites you to tune in deeply to the wisdom of your mind, body and soul.
Fran Davy - Yoga Teacher
Francesca has been practising Yoga since she was 7 years old! My mum was into Yoga in the 70’s. She would come home from Yoga and have my sisters and I doing lion pose, downward dog and shoulder stands in the lounge room. At 18 years old Francesca decided to study Yoga teaching in Brisbane, but an accident resulting in a knee injury put this dream on hold. Francesca became a school teacher and enjoyed classroom teaching, Sport and Recreation Camps, National Parks and later Environmental Education. At 50 years of age a Vision Board exercise resulted in her deciding to finally study Yoga Teaching. Fortunately the 12 month Diploma of Yoga Teaching was being offered in Newcastle and Francesca enjoyed bringing her teaching skills and love of Yoga together. Fran teaches a calming, flowing, classical style of Yoga that incorporates asana (poses) pranayama (breathing techniques) and mindfulness (stilling a busy mind). Her teachings are suitable for beginners to advanced Yogis.Incorporated into each session is a meditation to round out the rejuvenating effects of the physical practice.
Larissa Banney - Yoga Teacher
Yoga has shown me first hand how the biggest mistake I was making in life was believing that I needed to look externally for everything, as opposed to listening to what I already knew within. Through years of consistent practice, I have uncovered a deep trust in myself that was previously clouded. I am here to show you that you don't need to renounce the world in order to invite this practice into your life. I find incredible enjoyment and motivation from my career as a Chartered Accountant and using my brain in this analytical way. I equally find so much passion and a deep sense of purpose from teaching Yoga and guiding people in a more intuitive way - the two paths are not mutually exclusive. My practice has changed a lot over the years and continues to change, as I change. The constant however, is that it's always there. I am dedicated to my personal practice and living the teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda in my daily life. I believe this helps me in my role as a teacher to guide from a place of personal experience - I am right there with you. My classes generally feature asanas that call on you to use your inner strength and power - or at least remind you that this is there. I offer variations and modifications so the class is suitable for all - students are invited to take what they need from the class on any particular day. I am a student for life and so my classes also generally feature what I am currently reading and learning, and how I relate this to the world around me.
Gemma Fox - Yoga Teacher
I found the practice of yoga in my early twenties and it has been a central part of my life ever since. I completed my first 200hour yoga training after practising for several years, followed by 150hours of additional training and most recently completed 600hour Diploma of Yoga Therapy. I am passionate about cultivating a practice that allows connection to the subtle layers of myself and bringing the nervous system into balance and I teach in a way that creates space for others to do the same.
Clare Anderson - Yoga Teacher
Yoga is my oldest & dearest friend - a friend that has graciously woven itself through my life since stumbling across an asana book on the family bookcase as a child. Yoga has comforted, challenged, and guided me as an undercurrent to all aspects of my life. I’ve explored different styles of asana and meditation practices - with my current sadhanna based heavily in Vipassana and (Tantric) Bhakti - but always remain open to learning more ways to love & adore this practice and life. I encourage silence, stillness, and deep grounded presence.
Jessica Schmutz - Yoga Teacher
Jess began her Yoga journey at 8 years old - “meditating” and “stretching” every night with her mum on their living room floor. With an extensive background as a mental health clinician and psychotherapist, Jess see’s the world through an “east meets west” lens and understands that nervous system regulation and spiritual practice are symbiotic. Jess feels honoured to offer consistent, disciplined, anatomically sound and pranically balanced sequences woven together with digestible philosophy - believing in the magic of what unfolds simply by listening to the sound of your own breath. She deeply trusts that the Eight-Limbed System of Yoga is intelligently designed and extremely experiential. As such, she views her role as a teacher is to support students into Dharana, or deep concentration - allowing the nectar of the practice to unfold in its own time.
Brianna Attard - Yoga Teacher
Blending my experience as an award-winning mental health facilitator with my love of nervous system & somatic work, my goal is to bring you yoga practices that support you to weather life’s many storms. I love sharing a blend of traditional yogic practices with modern approaches of somatic & nervous system work, to provide you with a practice that feels deeply nourishing to your mind-body system as a reprieve from the busyness of life. Through my own experience overcoming burnout, anxiety & many chronic health challenges – I know the importance of a practice that meets you where you are at. I’m trained in hatha, vinyasa, yin & trauma-sensitive yoga. I always struggled with the stillness of yin before I started teaching it – now it's my favourite style of asana to practice & teach! I’ve been practising yoga since the age of 16, with a committed daily practice of pranayama & meditation. A dedicated yogic practitioner, but a lifelong learner. I’m so keen to share practice with you.
Marion Loisance - Pre and Post Natal Teacher
Marion was 26 weeks pregnant with her first daughter when she undertook her 200h yoga training in 2017 and did not expect how much doing this 'with her' would impact her journey. She knew by then that she would deepen her knowledge in perinatal yoga, as she felt wonderfully connected and in tune with her emotions, body and baby. She completed her studies as a Prenatal and Postnatal yoga teacher shortly after she gave birth to her second daughter early 2020. Marion is dedicating her energy and passion to guiding women in their motherhood journey, through movement, breathing, connection, meditation and love. As a mum of 2, she likes to tap into her own birth and mothering experiences during her classes and makes sure mamas are supported, held and listened to. Her approach consists in offering gentle and safe sessions focusing on mothers' entire wellbeing (from physical release to mental and emotional health). Her classes are providing mothers with tools to enjoy their pregnancy, prepare for birth, heal and embrace motherhood, whether they are new or regular practitioners.
Nataliya Derevyanko - Sound Healer
Nataliya Derevyanko is a holistic voice and sound therapist and musician. With a lifelong connection to music and extensive training in sound therapy, she blends her expertise in classical piano, voice, and a diverse array of healing sound techniques. She uses a variety of healing instruments - including singing bowls, gong, harmonium, Native American flute, and her voice with intention to facilitate deep healing and relaxation. In addition to her sound healing practice, she leads The Singing Circle, a mindful singing community in Newcastle, creating a nurturing space for individuals to connect with themselves and each other through sound. Her approach is rooted in the belief that sound has the power to transform and heal on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Luka Sneddon - Mat Pilates Teacher
I fell in love with pilates in early 2020 during some of my most difficult times. I was at a gorgeous studio where i finally felt safe and finally fell in love with a form of movement; pilates. Fast forward to some of the incredible people I met along the way, the stunning spaces I've been. I love waking up every day to move my body the way i love, and enjoying it. My favourite part of teaching is meeting instructors and clients alike that have turned into lifelong friends, and has truly confirmed this is what I want to do. Other than my obvious love of pilates, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, having coffee dates, hanging with my cats, eating fun little pastries, listening to music, going on beach walks, among other things.
