Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa style yoga is a flowing sequence linking breath with movement. Set to challenge the practitioner with different shapes and transition with moments for deep introspection. This class is great if you want to focus on building strength, heat and flexibility. Our Vinyasa Yoga practice is suitable for all levels of the practice.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is slow, quiet, passive and challenging.Working the 'yin' tissues of the body. Strengthening our ligaments, joints, fascial networks and bones with a focus on exercising the denser connective tissues of the body. A practice that encourages us to stay in a particular pose for a longer period of time, with an emphasis on stillness to awaken us to the present moment. A suitable practice to open up channels of energy in the body, which have been blocked or a little stagnant. A great class to pause and a beautiful way to compliment your dynamic flow classes. Our Yin Yoga practice is suitable for all levels of the practice.
Yang/Yin
The integration of two powerful energies. We start the class dynamically (yang) and end the class with longer held poses (yin) to relax and calm the nervous system - Think organic flow, muscles, heat and then visualise deep, connective tissues and absolute stillness over 60 - 75 minutes. Our teachers ask you to respect your body at all times, but to challenge your mind if the opportunity arises. Leave feeling revived, refreshed, balanced and supported to tackle adversity with power, strength, patience and love. Our Yang/Yin Yoga practice is suitable for all levels of the practice.
Chair Yoga
Chair yoga, a gentle form of yoga that's done whilst seated, laying on the floor, using the wall or using a chair for balance, making the practice a lot more accessible. The practice is open to new students, as well as regular students that have been practicing yoga for a while. It is also a non-intimidating way to get into yoga if you are de-conditioned or have some physical limitations, or to maintain your regular yoga practice after an injury or surgery. If you are a regular, seasoned yogi then this practice may also help you to go a little deeper or further in your practice as we use the chair for support, exploring a whole range of poses.. Not to mention how quickly it reduces stress and helps your balance.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a very profound practice that offers you the opportunity to dive into deep rest, rejuvenation and to heal and revitalise your body and mind. Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, a state where the body and sensory mind are completely relaxed and the yogi becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner conscious realm by following a specific set of verbal instructions. When practiced regularly and long term, you access a great ability to transform your mind in a very specific and empowering way. We will use specific practices to yoke together the mind and breath to awaken a unified awareness within your being. You’ll be guided through the entire subtle body to unify breath to dissolve into the sacred intelligence of prana. You'll be guided into your parasympathetic nervous system to restore your body and immunity as well as deep healing. Our Yoga Nidra practice is suitable for all levels of the practice.
Mat Pilates
Expect to feel a slow burn throughout your entire body as we target individual muscle groups through strengthening, lengthening and energising pilates-based exercises. As we flow together, we will focus on mind to muscle connection, leaving you feeling strong and centered. Everyone is welcome to this class, including pregnancy. Jordan is specifically accredited to offer modifications.
Breath Work + Movement
This class has an emphasis on yogic breathing practices (Pranayama) and modern breathing techniques (cyclic breathing) over the course of 75 minutes. Allowing you time to settle into the body and the practice. It is a gentle class with slow movement sequences aiming to open and release our bodies and move into a meditative mind while in motion. Our Breath work and movement practice is suitable for all levels of the practice.
Yoga Basics
With a key focus on breaking down and simplifying asana to allow yourself to feel and understand the pose within your body. During the 60 mins we will slowly and gently flow through a range of asana, with an emphasis on alignment and learning ways to modify asana for what ever stage your body and practice is at. As we flow we will hone into the importance of breath and how we can synchronise movement and prana seemlessly. Yoga is a beautiful, rewarding personal journey. As we deepen our knowledge of poses (asanas) & breathwork (prana), we create more unity between mind & body, and deepen our relationship with our self. Yoga fundamentals and basics for all levels of the practice. Beginners to experienced yogis.
As you enter our studio, you leave the outside world behind and immerse yourself in good vibes, which ultimately creates a happy and healthy experience on and off the yoga mat.
